Meet Beth Hammond
Natural Hearing Centers is thrilled to re-introduce you to our newest (but not-so-new) Hearing Instrument Specialist and provider at our Russellville clinic: Beth Hammond, H.I.S.; A.A.S. Think of her as your friendly neighborhood hearing hero — armed with nearly 20 years of experience, a heart full of passion, and occasionally, a pocket full of tissues.
Beth’s journey started in Dardanelle, Arkansas, where her family settled in 1965 when she was just 5 years old. She attended school there from kindergarten through graduation, proving early on that she could stick with something — an important skill when it comes to both education and stubborn hearing aids. After high school, Beth traded small-town life for big adventures by joining the U.S. Navy in 1988. She returned home in 1993, bringing with her not just life experience but an appreciation for the sound of freedom — and, well, actual sound.
In 2005, Beth found her true calling in the hearing healthcare field, starting as a Patient Care Coordinator (PCC). It didn’t take long for her to realize that this was more than a job — it was the career that spoke to her heart. Witnessing the transformation when someone hears clearly for the first time is something Beth describes as magical. Faces light up. Families cry. Beth cries. The office dog probably cries. It’s basically a beautiful cry-fest — equal parts heartwarming and waterproof mascara-worthy. Inspired by these life-changing moments, Beth switched gears, finished her degree, and became a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist in 2007. Since then, she’s been on a mission to help people reconnect with the world around them — one joyful, tear-filled appointment at a time.
Beth isn’t just about hearing aids; she’s about heart. She loves building relationships with her patients, which often leads to heartfelt thank-you cards, surprise donuts, homemade baked goods, and, her personal favorite—warm, heartfelt hugs. (Seriously, if there were a Hug Olympics, she’d medal.)
–––––––––––
In Beth’s Words:
“Two experiences stick out that proved I chose the right career. The first was in Russellville, where I worked with a patient who’d tried several hearing aids without success. We kept trying different solutions until—finally—he could communicate with his family again. Sadly, he passed away two years later, but his family sent me a thank-you card for giving them the gift of conversation with him in his final years. I still cherish that card.
The second was in Fort Smith. A patient came in withdrawn, almost curled into herself in a wheelchair, barely responsive. After her fitting, she sat upright, laughing and talking. It stunned all of us—her family, me… even the receptionist did a double-take. It was like watching someone come back to life.”
–––––––––––
Coming back to Russellville is bittersweet for Beth. She loved her time with the amazing team in Fort Smith but is beyond excited to return to her original Natural Hearing Centers office. She’s ready to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new patients, and put her nearly two decades of experience to work — helping people hear, laugh, cry (happy tears), and maybe even share a donut or two.
Welcome home, Beth. Russellville’s ears — and hearts — are in good hands.

Meet Beth Hammond
What is your job title and how long have you been working in hearing healthcare?
I am a state-licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist. I started in the industry 19 years ago as a Patient Care Coordinator but quickly realized I had finally found a job that spoke to my heart. I became a licensed specialist shortly thereafter.
What do you love most about your job?
What I love most are the personal relationships I develop with many of my patients and their families. A bittersweet example of this is the time I received a thank-you card from the family of a recently deceased patient. The family thanked me for attending his services, but they more so wanted to thank me for giving them their father back during the last two years of his life. They had not been able to communicate with him for years. I had been able to give him good speech understanding and the family said it meant the world to them. That warmed my heart and it cemented my belief that better hearing is vitally important and invaluable.
Tell us about your family.
My first blessing in this world was being born to John Ed and Opal May Hammond – the perfect parents for me. I have 3 adult children and 9 incredible grandchildren.
Tell us about one of your favorite things.
My favorite movie of ALL TIME is a precious little romantic comedy, “Fools Rush In”. I love it because of the humor and sweetness… and at the end it shows that even through trials and tribulations, love can conquer all. As a bonus, not one, but TWO Elvis Presley songs are part of the soundtrack!
Do you have any awards or accomplishments you would like to highlight?
I joined the Navy when I was 28 years old. I was meritoriously advanced out of boot camp to the next rank for completing basic training in the top 5%. I went to two Navy training centers and graduated number 1 in my class from both.
When I was 51 I decided to start training for a 5K run. Here’s the thing, I had a short stride and had NEVER been a runner. I ended up losing 40 pounds and completed the run. I even got a medal to prove it! The next year, I was able to complete a 10K run. I then set my sights on a full marathon – a goal my son laughed at! I knew right then and there I would make it across the finish line – and I’m proud to say I did!
